Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Redondo Beach, CA, seeks a Space Vehicle Systems Engineer – Level 3 to develop and mature space vehicle interfaces, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for successful integration and launch.

Requires active SCI access and TS clearance, a STEM degree with several years of experience, and proficiency with systems engineering processes and tools like CATIA V5, DOORS, and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM with 5+ years engineering experience or
• Masters in STEM with 3+ years engineering experience or
• PhD in STEM with 1+ year of engineering experience
• Active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS clearance and SCI access

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage integrated analysis plans for environmental specs and coupled load cycles
• Maintain Master Equipment Lists (MEL) and Power Equipment Lists (PEL)
• Develop mission interface control documents with providers and customers
• Create and manage interface requirements, block diagrams and traceability
• Verify mission interface control documents and metrics
• Prepare inputs for milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and track verification burndown
