Responsibilities

Launch Security Operations Specialist (LSOS) provides overall security operations support for all launch-related activities, including SV transportation and processing, SV/LV integration, launch base operations, monitoring and operation of security and payload processing facility systems, and general security requirements and implementation. LSOS may require specialized training.

Qualifications

LAUNCH SECURITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, LEVEL I (LSOS I)

This entry-level position requires some knowledge of launch base and facility systems, and security operations. Minimum qualifications include a general understanding of launch operations, computer-based security, life safety, facility controls, security operations, and emergency response functions.

LAUNCH SECURITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, LEVEL II (LSOS II)

This mid-level position requires a working knowledge of launch operations, SV transportation, payload processing facility systems, and security operations, with 2 years of relevant experience.

LAUNCH SECURITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, LEVEL III (LSOS III)

This senior-level position requires proven knowledge of launch operations, SV transportation, payload processing, and security operations, with 5 years of relevant experience. Ability to guide Level I and II LSOSs is essential.

Security Clearance

Active TS/SCI security clearance with a CI polygraph is required.

Locations

Chantilly, VA, Cape Canaveral, FL, Los Angeles, CA, Vandenberg AFB, CO, or Colorado Springs, CO.

Compensation

The pay range is $100,000 to $150,000 annually, depending on experience and location. MTSI offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, and bonuses.
