Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee launch-pad civil design through development, providing field support and real-time problem solving on site. You will review deliverables, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and maintain design intent on active pads.

You will travel to sites, engage with outside consultants, and help drive projects from schematic to IFC while adapting to a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional civil engineering design, design review, or construction engineering support (site development, grading, drainage, utilities).
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related BIM workflows.
• Willingness to travel to launch sites for field inspection and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own civil design oversight for launch pads in development and review deliverables at design milestones.
• Act as owner’s representative to outside consultants and resolve cross-discipline conflicts in real time.
• Provide engineering support during construction; walk sites, answer RFIs, and reconcile field vs design intent.
• Produce sketch-level civil design in AutoCAD Civil 3D to support ties-ins and small changes.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and fluids disciplines to maintain coherence.
