Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee launch-pad civil design and provide construction engineering support. You will review design milestones, walk sites during construction, and resolve field questions in real time to ensure the pad is built to intent.

The role requires field presence, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines while navigating permitting and regulatory requirements at active launch sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years in civil engineering design, design review, or construction support.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ability to walk sites during construction.

Responsibilities

• Own civil design oversight for launch pads in development; review milestones for conformance to program requirements.
• Act as owner’s rep to outside consultants; drive technical direction and resolve cross-disciplinary conflicts.
• Provide on-site engineering support during construction; respond to RFIs and field conflicts.
• Produce sketch-level civil design in AutoCAD Civil 3D to support tie-ins and small changes.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and fluids disciplines for a coherent design.
