Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands‑on Test and Launch Engineer to join the Launch Operations and OLS Test Operations team on the Space Coast. You will perform testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting of electrical instrumentation, transducers, PLCs, and controls for ground support equipment used in launch operations, ensuring reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical/Computer/Aerospace/Mechanical) from an accredited university.
• 3+ years experience with test teams in fluids, console operation, or equivalent hands-on roles.
• Experience with electrical equipment: electronics, transducers, PLCs, and software systems.
• Ability to read schematics and P&IDs and troubleshoot hardware related to fluids, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• 1+ years creating English work instructions or test procedures for upgrades, maintenance, or verifications.
• Strong safety commitment and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to support off‑shift, extended hours, and weekends as needed for milestones.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. (as required by facility access).

Responsibilities

• Ensure launch facility components are maintained to support activities.
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable test and maintenance processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production to accelerate milestones toward spaceflight.
• Develop and maintain test docs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards and safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reductions and implement improvements.
