Job summary

Blue Origin Huntsville site is seeking a hands-on Lead Technician/Operations Supervisor to oversee mission, test, and launch activities. You will manage day-to-day tasks, monitor safety and quality, and coordinate with engineering and planning teams on shifts and coverage.

You will mentor technicians, enforce procedures, and support onboarding, training, and recognition for your team while ensuring readiness for field deployments across facilities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mission/flight operations, launch/test ops, aerospace/industrial systems, or related operations.
• 1+ year of frontline leadership directing technicians or operators.
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation (procedures, drawings, manuals).
• Willing to work non-standard hours, travel occasionally to other sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead technicians/operators in day-to-day mission, test, and launch operations focusing on safety, quality, and schedule.
• Plan, assign, and monitor work, including shift coverage and overtime.
• Ensure work follows procedures, drawings, and safety/quality requirements.
• Provide hands-on support for integration, checkout, test, and operations of flight and ground systems.
• Coach, develop, and mentor team members; conduct performance check-ins.
