Job summary

SpaceX in Cape Canaveral, FL seeks an Electrical Engineer for Launch Infrastructure (Starship). You will lead electrical projects, coordinate with customers, and develop drawings for aerospace and industrial projects.

The role requires 2+ years designing building electrical systems, familiarity with NEC/IBC, and experience with power distribution, switchgear, UPS, and field troubleshooting. Office in Cape Canaveral with potential extended hours.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in the design or build of building infrastructure electrical systems.
Familiarity with NEC/IBC and electrical safety standards.
Able to work in high-stress environment and extended hours.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout the electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process.
Work directly with internal and external customers to determine electrical requirements/needs and wants.
Assist in the development of drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial type projects.
Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.
Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
Coordinate with the electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure.
Provide support and direction to electricians and technicians during the construction and activation of power distribution equipment.
Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.
