Job summary

SpaceX in Cape Canaveral, FL, seeks an Electrical Engineer for the Starship Launch Infrastructure team to design, build, and activate electrical systems that enable orbital launch capabilities for the Starship program.

You will lead the electrical project team, work with customers and contractors to define requirements, develop drawings and reports, manage contracts, resolve field issues, and ensure reliable power delivery for critical site infrastructure under demanding schedules.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
2+ years of experience in the design or build of building infrastructure electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the electrical project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout the entirety of the electrical engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process.
Work directly with internal and external customers to determine electrical requirements/needs and wants.
Assist in the development of drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial type projects.
Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out.
Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real time.
Coordinate with the electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure.
Provide support and direction to electricians and technicians during the construction and activation of power distribution equipment.
Interact with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders.
