Job summary

SpaceX seeks an Electrical Engineer for the Starship Launch Pad to design, build, and support electrical systems powering launch infrastructure. You will work with mechanical, controls, and fluids teams to deliver reliable electrical power and control systems for pads and ground support equipment.

Responsibilities include power distribution, panel design, schematics, and field commissioning, with potential for extended hours and travel between sites in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• 1+ year of experience in design, build, or commissioning of electrical systems; internship qualifies.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for Starship launch pad systems, including power distribution and supporting infrastructure.
• Design industrial electrical control panels and power distribution systems per NEC, NFPA 79, and UL 508A standards.
• Develop electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with utilities and internal teams to ensure reliable power delivery to launch pad equipment.
• Provide real-time field support during construction, activation, and testing to resolve issues.
