Job summary

Momentum Indoor Climbing is hiring a General Manager for a new Naperville facility. You will oversee Gym Operations, Facility, and Retail, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for members and staff. The role requires coordinating with departments to align safety, policy, and guest experience.

The position is full-time with 40 hours/week, including some evenings and weekends. Starting salary ranges from 72,000 to 78,000 USD per year, with health insurance, 401(k), PTO, holiday pay, and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of climbing experience with enthusiasm for the sport.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in people management, customer service, and operational leadership.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in person, on the phone, and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring safety, welcome and professionalism.
• Directly manage Gym Operations, Facility, and Retail teams, including hiring and performance management.
• Engage with the community to support membership retention and guest initiatives.
• Coordinate with Marketing to implement outreach strategies and events.
• Oversee POS, inventory, maintenance, and facility logistics to keep operations smooth.
