Overview

VTG is seeking a Launch Flight Operations Specialist in Los Angeles, CA.

What will you do?

The Launch Flight Operations Specialist provides day-of-launch planning, rehearsal, and execution of launch activities for assigned missions, which could include NRO or other OSL-sponsored programs. Responsibilities include coordination with various agencies, mission integration, readiness reviews, technical support, and development of processes and procedures for launch operations. The role involves supporting mission control operations, developing integrated mission scripts, maintaining operational metrics, and ensuring successful launch campaigns.

Do you have what it takes?

This position requires a current TS/SCI with Poly clearance. Experience requirements can be substituted as follows:

• 5 years experience = Associates degree
• 10 years experience = Bachelor's degree
• 15 years experience = Master's degree

The position levels are:

• Level I: Entry-level, knowledge of space launch systems, capable of developing briefings and executing launch support activities, with all General Level II qualifications.
• Level II: Mid-level, proven knowledge, able to plan and execute launch operations, with additional qualifications including extensive knowledge of NRO/OSL policies and procedures.
• Level III: Senior-level, proven leadership, capable of supporting mission integration, delivering briefings, providing risk assessments, and guiding lower levels, with all LFOS-II qualifications and additional expertise.

The estimated starting pay range is $150,000 - $210,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and market factors.
