Job summary

Stoke Space in Florida is seeking an experienced Launch EH&S Engineer to support commissioning and operation of a new launch pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. You will drive EH&S programs across Stoke’s Florida sites and foster a strong safety culture.

You’ll lead hazard analyses, enforce policies, coordinate with FAA/NASA and regulators, and ensure compliance. 7+ years in EHS for high-performance operations and relocation to Cape Canaveral, FL are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in EH&S for new site construction or operations in high-performance settings
• Proven experience implementing system safety and occupational safety programs
• Experience standing up and running EHS programs including OSHA, fall protection, lockout/tagout, confined spaces, hazmat, and waste streams
• Experience utilizing common EHS tools in a launch complex environment (gas detectors, FLIR, sound meters)
• Proven ability to lead autonomously in a high-performing team
• OSHA 30 Hour Certified / OSHA 511/510 Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and willingness to relocate to Cape Canaveral, FL

Responsibilities

• Support overall EHS strategy for facilities, site development, launch vehicle processing and testing
• Maintain and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and protocols
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Complete system safety hazard analyses and job hazard assessments
• Review and approve launch complex hazardous procedures
• Support anomaly investigations and corrective actions
• Implement controls to reduce occupational risk
• Maintain SPCC, wastewater permitting, and LMPs
• Coordinate with agencies (FAA, NASA, FDEP, etc.) and provide training
