The role emphasizes developing safety processes, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in a high-speed aerospace environment. A background in pressure/electrical safety and OSHA standards is valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of EHS experience with aerospace or high-speed technical environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA 70E, ANSI, ASME, and related safety standards.
  • Experience in risk assessments, hazard analysis, and incident investigations in complex technical environments.
  • Experience in project management and continuous improvement strategies for safety programs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and operations on safety topics from planning to execution.
  • Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement control measures.
  • Support launch operations ground equipment safety and related systems.
  • Develop safety processes and programs for Launch Operations based on observations and feedback.
  • Balance program development with in-field safety support and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigate incidents with root-cause analysis.
  • Over time, participate in vehicle processing and launch support covering various EHS topics.
