Job summary

DRT Premier Manufacturing, LLC in Midland, NC is seeking a Lathe Machinist for a full-time role with base pay plus off-shift incentives and flexible schedules. Responsibilities include setting up lathes with live tooling, maintaining tight tolerances, and performing in-process inspections using standard measuring tools.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of CNC machining experience, be able to multitask across machines, and ideally have CNC programming/editing skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of CNC machining or operation experience
• High School diploma or equivalent education
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Lathe with live tooling for complex, precision jobs with minimal supervision
• Hold size and profile tolerances within .0005
• Multitask by running multiple machines at once
• CNC programming, editing and setup a plus
• Perform first piece in process inspection with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial gauges
• Ensure standard quality procedures are followed for setup, operation, inspection, documentation and material handling
• Utilize the ERP system and document required in-process inspection dimensions
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment and perform preventative maintenance

LATHE MACHINIST

Base + Off Shift Incentive – Flexible Schedules

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Lathe with live tooling for complex, precision jobs with minimal supervision
• Hold size and profile tolerances within .0005
• Ability to Multitask/ Run multiple machines at once is a must
• CNC Programming, Editing and Set Up A PLUS
• Perform first piece in process inspection using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial gauges
• Ensure all standard quality procedures are followed such as machine set-up, operation, inspection, documentation and material handling
• Utilize the ERP system and document the required in-process inspection dimensions.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education and experience required
• 1-3 years of CNC with operation or machining experience
• Demonstrated skill working in a team environment a plus
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus
