Job summary

DRT Holdings, LLC in Sidney, OH is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Lathe to set up and operate CNC Milling machines, including HMCs and VMCs, and to produce precision aerospace components.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, perform setups, make tooling changes, conduct first-piece inspections, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production to meet delivery schedules. Overtime, benefits, and 401k are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CNC machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Milling machines, including Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing specifications.
• Experience with tooling selection, fixture setup, and precision measurement equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Milling Machines, HMCs, and VMCs.
• Perform machine setups, tooling changes, work offsets, and first-piece inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Manufacture precision aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Make tooling and program adjustments to maintain quality and production standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor tooling performance and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Accurately complete production, inspection, and quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to meet customer expectations and delivery schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists with hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC Milling machines, including Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). The ideal candidate will be skilled in machine setup, tooling, offsets, and producing precision components to quality specifications.

CAM software experience

Technical machining education or apprenticeship background
