Job summary

DRT Premier Manufacturing, LLC is seeking a Lathe Machinist in Midland, NC to set up and operate lathes with live tooling for precision parts. This role requires minimal supervision and strict tolerance control.

The position offers base pay, with off-shift incentives and flexible schedules, along with comprehensive benefits. You will work in a dynamic environment focused on quality and safety while using ERP for production tracking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of CNC operation or machining experience.
• Teamwork experience is a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Lathe with live tooling for complex, precision jobs under minimal supervision.
• Hold size and profile tolerances within .0005.
• Multitask by running multiple machines at once.
• CNC programming, editing and setup is a plus.
• Perform first piece in-process inspection with micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial gauges.
• Follow standard quality procedures for set-up, operation, inspection, documentation, and material handling.
• Utilize the ERP system and document in-process inspection dimensions.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment and perform preventive maintenance.

LATHE MACHINIST

Base + Off Shift Incentive – Flexible Schedules

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Lathe with live tooling for complex, precision jobs with minimal supervision
• Hold size and profile tolerances within .0005
• Ability to Multitask/ Run multiple machines at once is a must
• CNC Programming, Editing and Set Up A PLUS
• Perform first piece in process inspection using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial gauges
• Ensure all standard quality procedures are followed such as machine set-up, operation, inspection, documentation and material handling
• Utilize the ERP system and document the required in-process inspection dimensions.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent education and experience required
• 1-3 years of CNC with operation or machining experience
• Demonstrated skill working in a team environment a plus
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus
