Job summary

DRT Aerospace, LLC is seeking skilled CNC Machinists to set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot CNC lathes, HMCs, and VMCs in a high-mix, low-volume aerospace shop.

You will read blueprints with GD&T, perform in-process inspections, adjust tooling, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to deliver precision components with tight tolerances. Flexible shifts and day-one benefits accompany competitive weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC Lathes, HMCs, and/or VMCs.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Strong understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Lathes, HMCs, and VMCs.
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, machine setups, and first-piece inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements.
• Manufacture precision aerospace components to tight tolerances.
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other measuring equipment.
• Adjust tooling and machining parameters to maintain quality and productivity.
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues independently.
• Monitor tooling performance and identify process improvements.
• Complete production and inspection documentation accurately.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams.

We are seeking experienced CNC Machinists who can independently set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot CNC machining operations in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment.

If you have experience with CNC lathes, horizontal machining centers (HMCs), vertical machining centers (VMCs), and precision inspection tools, we'd like to hear from you.

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace, defense, medical, or precision manufacturing experience
• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazatrol, Okuma, Makino, Mori Seiki, or similar controls
• Multi-axis machining experience (4-axis and 5-axis)
• CNC programming or G-Code editing experience
• AS9100 manufacturing experience
• CAM software experience
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or machining certification
