Job summary

A premier global law firm seeks a Lateral Integration Manager to facilitate onboarding and strategic integration of new lateral partners and senior lawyers. The role partners with sponsors, Clients & Markets, and practice leaders to maximize growth and embed new hires into the firm’s culture and operations.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional integration efforts, coordinating with marketing resources, and building relationships to position laterals for success within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Direct and substantial experience and fluency with business development, lateral recruiting, and/or attorney development.
• Strong independent thinking and execution, and mature professional judgment.
• Demonstrable experience managing project teams and aligning stakeholders.
• Strong multitasking and project management skills with deadlines.
• Excellent communication in all interactions; confidentiality essential.
• Proven ability to adapt to technology changes, including AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Drives firmwide integration for lateral partners and senior lawyers with a focus on marketing and business development.
• Serves as internal point of contact for new laterals through the first 18 months.
• Collaborates with leadership to identify integration priorities and develop tailored strategies.
• Builds strong relationships and supports migration of client relationships.
• Coaches on marketing and business development tactics and leverages firm resources.
• Prepares integration plans and coordinates with Clients & Markets support teams.
• Convenes integration teams to discuss progress and maintain momentum.
• Plans lateral hire visits for business development purposes.
• Prepares action items and follows up on next steps.
• Maintains stakeholder relationships to coordinate outcomes and track metrics.
• Handles special integration-related projects as assigned.
