Job summary

Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a team of salaried and hourly staff within the Worldwide Operations network in Sacramento, CA. You will drive safety, quality, attendance, and performance while delivering customer orders on time and to the right location.

You will mentor teammates, manage productivity through data-driven plans, and collaborate with Safety, HR, and Loss Prevention to achieve business objectives. Expect a flexible schedule including weekends and overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact
• Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts)
