Job summary

Amazon is hiring an Operations Manager to lead a salaried and hourly team within a large distribution network. You will drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery using data-driven decisions to improve performance.

The role includes in-role training up to 15 weeks at an off-site location 50 miles from the home site, with travel booked and paid by Amazon. A flexible schedule and physical requirements such as lifting up to 49 pounds are part of the role.

Qualifications

• 3 years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 2 years Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience.
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
• 1 year of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Support, mentor, and motivate your team.
• Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact.
• Create and implement productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining productivity requirements, and partnering with other Leaders to load balance.
• Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
• Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives.
• Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs.
• Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather.
• Work a flexible schedule (weekends and/or overnight shifts).
