Job summary

Maersk is seeking a Last Mile Site Leader/Area Manager in Phoenix, AZ to oversee on-site operations and coordinate communication among haulers, delivery teams, call centers and client management. You will ensure adherence to procedures and lead efforts to optimize in-home delivery performance.

The role emphasizes recruiting and managing haulers, vendor relations, resolving shipping discrepancies, and maintaining monthly operational reports with service metrics.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent mathematical abilities including calculations of discounts, percentages, and volumes.
• Ability to analyze technical and scientific journals related to the business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flow of communication between haulers, delivery teams, call center and local client management teams.
• Provide on-site presence to ensure procedures are followed.
• Oversee recruiting, processing and performance of haulers.
• Develop and maintain relations with vendors.
• Ensure follow up on shipping discrepancies and in-home damage claims.
• Interface with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery.
• Maintain monthly operation reports including statistics and customer service scores.
