Job summary

RXO is a leading provider of transportation solutions, seeking a Last Mile Operations Manager in Edison, NJ to oversee contract carrier operations and route planning. You will mentor staff, ensure compliance and drive efficiency across daily activities.

The role requires experience in logistics supervision, proficiency with route planning software, and flexibility to work varied shifts, including holidays and weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of logistics and supervisory experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
Bachelor’s degree in business or logistics preferred.
Willingness to work holidays, days, evenings, nights and weekends; travel between branches occasionally.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of contract carriers and maintain contractor schedules.
Monitor routes, generate reports and foster positive carrier relationships.
Develop and mentor staff; interview, hire, train and discipline as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Supervise employees and manage performance, rewards and conflict resolution.
Use route planning software to build efficient delivery routes and manage dispatch.
