Job summary

ManpowerGroup, parent company of Manpower, Experis, Talent Solutions and Jefferson Wells, seeks a Customer Service Specialist in Logistics for our Suffolk, VA client. You will support on-time delivery across the network by entering loads, tracking pickups, and coordinating with drivers and customers.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of logistics experience, knowledge of the transportation industry, and ability to write routine reports.

Qualifications

• 1 year of logistics experience.
• General knowledge of the transportation industry.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate operational records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer profile information and enter loads from customer tenders into the Freight Optimizer system
• Monitor daily pick-ups and deliveries, verifying loads arrive on time and in good condition
• Take check calls from drivers, validate load data prior to marking loads delivered, and ensure delivery expectations are met for accounting purposes
• Investigate product overages, shortages, and damages, and complete the appropriate documentation
• Schedule and reschedule delivery appointments, provide routing directions and instructions to drivers, and coordinate timely communication with customers and internal stakeholders
