Job summary

MC Machinery Systems, Inc. in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks a Laser Customer Support Technician to train customers on Mitsubishi laser systems and troubleshoot installations in classroom, lab and on-site settings.

Travel to customer sites is required to resolve process issues, improve throughput, and ensure surface quality. Strong documentation and classroom instruction skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates or technical degree preferred.
• 3 years of set up and operation of lasers in a job shop environment.
• Familiarity with circuit repair and NC programming systems such as MasterCam, AutoCAD, and ESPIRIT and/or experience in industrial machine repair a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up and verify machine installations/alignments.
• Provide customer support via telephone on application and operation issues.
• Solving machine problems at customer sites to improve performance of Laser machinery.
• High power process training to customers in classroom and field.
• Phone support to customers and service personnel as needed.
• System Software testing, and duplication; perform proving tests on newly received machine system software and manufacture duplicates for stock.
• Technical Writing; develop training manuals, workbooks and sample projects for classroom use.
