Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machine equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fabrication environment, possess strong blueprint-reading skills, and be committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and continuous improvement standards.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating a CNC Machine.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading.
• Ability to use quality tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Experience in part inspection and maintaining tolerances of +/- .005.
• Ability to accurately record production data, including run time, quantity produced, and any rejected parts.

Work Environment

Work in a custom job shop welding environment on the 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 am to 3:30 pm. Hours will shift to 6 am to 6 pm in the upcoming weeks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
