Job summary

MEC (Mayville Engineering Company, Inc.) in Defiance, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support production line operations, packing, assembling, and material handling in a fast-paced environment.

You will perform basic machine operation tasks, use hand tools, follow safety protocols, and assist with shipping, receiving, and quality checks while collaborating with teammates to meet daily goals. This role requires physical mobility and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production line operations, including packing, assembling, and material handling.
• Performs basic machine operation tasks and uses a variety of hand tools to complete tasks.
• Loads and unloads materials and products.
• Maintains cleanliness of the production area by sweeping, organizing tools, and disposing of waste.
• Follows all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Inspects materials for defects and reports any issues to supervisors or quality assurance.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to operate motorized vehicles over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
