Job summary

MC Machinery Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician for laser systems to support customers across the United States. This hands-on role requires travel, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and excellent communication.

You will repair Mitsubishi laser cutting systems, perform inspections, interpret schematics, and maintain service records. Training is provided, with travel Monday–Friday and regional travel that may include occasional nationwide assignments.

Qualifications

Machining knowledge and experience with manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and manuals.
Experience handling electrical measurement equipment (voltmeter/oscilloscope).

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex technical issues on Mitsubishi laser machinery.
Perform mechanical and electrical inspections, including dismantling, rebuilding, and system adjustments.
Provide remote troubleshooting support via phone when appropriate.
Communicate professionally with customers to explain issues, timelines, and repair outcomes.
Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and block diagrams to support accurate analysis and repair.
Document service activities, findings, and resolutions with clarity and detail.
Accurately complete and submit expense reports in a timely manner.
Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles in proper working conditions.
Perform additional duties assigned to support customer satisfaction and department operations.
