Job summary

nVent is seeking a Fabrication Laser Operator in Oshkosh, WI to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, operate, and monitor Amada turret punch/laser equipment, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production in a fast-paced environment.

You will troubleshoot, adjust tooling, and collaborate with leads to maintain safety, cleanliness, and continuous improvement across the line.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or machine operation role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Team-player attitude with willingness to learn and grow.
• Physical ability to lift, stand, and operate machinery in a plant setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment to ensure quality products are made efficiently and meet customers' expectations.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process and make machine or tooling adjustments as needed.
• Load and unload material and parts from the assigned machine.
• Communicate equipment, material, or production concerns to your Lead or Supervisor.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes with precision and care.
• Ensure detailed execution of tasks to maintain high-quality standards.
• Adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected challenges with ease.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet production goals.
• Take initiative to identify and implement process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and accurately dispose of scrap materials.
