Job summary

nVent is seeking a skilled operator to set up, adjust, and run laser systems and NC/CNC presses. You will ensure dimensional accuracy, quality, and safety while maintaining production schedules in a dynamic environment.

The role requires HS diploma or GED with CNC experience. Proficiency in JD Edwards and Radan, plus strong problem-solving and teamwork skills, is essential for contributing to lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of CNC manufacturing equipment experience preferred.
• 3+ years production work experience preferred.
• Computer experience with Windows Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards and Radan.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, maintain and operate laser systems and presses.
• Perform set-up duties on fabrication equipment and safety devices.
• Position materials and tooling according to print specifications.
• Operate and adjust equipment, edit programs per production docs.
• Meet established performance standards to meet schedules.
• Comply with safety procedures and report hazards.
• Ensure products meet Hoffman quality standards.
• Inspect work to verify dimensional requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assist with troubleshooting.
• Take action and notify resources when problems arise.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
