Job summary

Madden Industrial Craftsmen Inc. seeks a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator and Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will fabricate sheet metal components using CNC laser cutting and various forming and machining equipment.

This role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, setting up machines, maintaining quality and safety, and collaborating with the team to optimize processes. Competitive hourly pay with benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication with CNC laser cutting and programming.
• 2-3 years with Tru Bend Trumpf Press Brake and Trumpf Fiber Laser Cutter.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and shop math.
• Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measurement tools.
• Knowledge of safety standards relevant to metal fabrication environments.
• Ability to set up machining tools and operate handheld tools with precision.
• Basic understanding of EDM and plasma cutting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines with precision and set up equipment per specs and blueprints.
• Fabricate sheet metal components using forming machines, press brakes, stamping presses, plasma cutters, and other tools.
• Interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T to ensure accuracy.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, EDM, and related equipment.
• Perform measurements to verify quality against specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety standards.
• Troubleshoot machinery and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with team to optimize fabrication processes and uphold quality.
