Job summary

Eagle Metalcraft is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Technician with CNC programming experience to support precision manufacturing. The role focuses on programming and operating laser cutting, punching, forming, and hardware installation systems in a fast-paced shop.

The candidate should have hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software, read blueprints, and collaborate with engineering to optimize workflows and reduce waste. Monday–Friday schedule with potential OT.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in sheet metal fabrication and CNC programming.
• Proficiency with Cadman and Boost CAD/CAM software.
• Experience operating LVD laser systems, Trumpf punch and press brakes, and Amada press brakes.
• Experience with hardware insertion equipment such as Haeger machines.
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate LVD 6kW fiber laser using Cadman software.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Trumpf punch press.
• Program and operate Trumpf TruBend press brake using Boost software.
• Set up and operate Amada press brakes for forming operations.
• Operate Haeger hardware insertion machines for installation of fasteners and hardware.
• Interpret blueprints and CAD files to ensure accurate part production.
• Set up machines, tooling, and materials for production runs.
• Monitor production processes and perform in-process and final inspections.
• Troubleshoot programming or machine issues and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve workflows and reduce waste.
• Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
