Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking a Machinist to join our Metal Finishing Operations department in a production environment. You will operate automated and manual machines such as punching, forming, laser cutting, and press brakes to process sheet metal, while maintaining quality and meeting production targets.

Candidates should be able to read blueprints, use micrometers and calipers, and learn machine controls. High School diploma or GED required; 1 year of machinist experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and interpret production prints.
• Use standard measuring tools to verify part dimensions.
• Learn machine controls and programs for sheet metal equipment.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and manual sheet metal machines to produce high-quality parts from blueprints.
• Use material handling equipment and cranes to move sheet-metal stock (30–150 lbs).
• Inspect parts using measurement tools to ensure quality.
