Job summary

The Colorado School of Mines Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering invites applications for a Research Technical Staff to work with Prof. Jihye Kim (Large-Scale Solvent Extraction).

The successful candidate will independently execute the defined research scope, plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, document results, and prepare technical reports for project deliverables. They will travel periodically to observe and support industrial-scale technology implementation and

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in metallurgy, chemical engineering, mining engineering, or related field.
• Background in extractive metallurgy and waste recycling.
• Experience with large-scale solvent extraction processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct experiments, analyze data, and prepare technical reports.
• Collaborate with Mines and partner institutions for project deliverables.
• Design and operate large-scale solvent extraction experiments.
• Translate lab-scale processes to industrial-scale demonstrations.
• Communicate progress in project meetings and written updates.
