Job summary
Colorado School of Mines is seeking a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Jihye Kim to conduct independent research in extractive metallurgy with emphasis on gallium electrochemical processing and flowsheet development. The role includes mentoring students and potential classroom involvement, in a 12-month full-time position with renewal possibilities.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. in metallurgy, chemical engineering, materials science, mining engineering, chemistry, or related field with background in extractive metallurgy and waste recycling.
- Demonstrated experience using MetSim is required.
- Electrochemical processing experience, especially electrowinning/electrorefining, is expected.
Responsibilities
- Engage in Kim group research activities.
- Design and perform hands-on extractive metallurgy experiments.
- Analyze data and disseminate findings via publications and conferences.
- Develop process flowsheets and perform process simulations.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
