Job summary

SoHo Dragon is seeking an experienced IT Operations Project Manager for a large-scale laptop refresh initiative in Austin. The role begins fully remote and transitions to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) based on business needs.

You will oversee procurement, deployment coordination, statewide logistics, technician scheduling, RAID management, and governance, while leveraging Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams to drive project success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years progressive IT project management experience.
• Experience leading hardware deployment or enterprise refresh programs.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, PMBOK, Agile, and change management.
• Experience managing enterprise IT operations projects.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Vendor management experience.
• Microsoft SME proficiency across core project and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the AL Laptop Refresh Project.
• Manage schedules, scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with leadership, IT Operations, Service Desk, Information Security, and Asset Management.
• Oversee imaging, deployment readiness, technician assignments, and statewide logistics.
• Track progress, completion metrics, and issue resolution.
• Produce executive dashboards, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain RAID logs, project plans, change requests, and closeout documentation.
• Manage vendors and cross-functional teams throughout the lifecycle.
• Support process improvements for future refresh initiatives.
