Job summary

The Omaha Tribe of Nebraska is seeking an Information Technology Technician to support tribal members and help sustain Umoⁿhoⁿ language and culture. The role spans multiple Family Resource Center functions with duties ranging from IT support to language preservation content creation.

Responsibilities include technical support, website maintenance, multimedia production, and collaboration with schools to deliver language programs, all while ensuring excellent customer service and clear guidance

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Proven work experience as a Desktop Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, and Mac OS environments.
Experience as a Desktop Support Engineer with strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Provide desktop hardware and software support to staff and ensure timely resolutions.
Maintain and update the website to disseminate language learning materials.
Collaborate with tribal members to produce social media, TV, or radio content in Umoⁿhoⁿ language.
Assist in recording Elder testimonies to preserve Umoⁿhoⁿ language.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues; including Windows 10 and mobile devices.
Develop instructional materials for language restoration online content.
Work with schools and community college to develop language social media programs.
