Job summary

Mechoopda Indian Tribe of Chico Rancheria seeks an Information Technology Specialist to support information systems and provide desktop support to users. The role troubleshoots hardware/software, installs equipment and software, and assesses training needs while ensuring compliance with tribal policies.

The ITS will work under supervision, manage short- and long-term IT projects, and contribute to technology acquisitions while aligning with operating procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in technical support and network administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, VMWare, Veeam, Sophos, Android and iOS platforms.
• Experience collaborating with Native American communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical desktop support to users.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems associated with Tribe computers, telecommunications, and related equipment.
• Install hardware equipment and software applications.
• Assess user training needs and make recommendations.
• Assist with hardware and software acquisitions and licensing.
• Follow operating procedures and policies and work independently to meet deadlines.
