Job summary

NSA is seeking Linguists (MDLAs) to analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language information for intelligence purposes. The role supports the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices, with rotations and rigorous training in SIGINT.

Applicants must have ILR level 2/2 proficiency in reading and listening for the target language, plus relevant experience in language work or related fields.

Qualifications

ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language is required.
At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.

Responsibilities

Offer policymakers and military leaders a window into the foreign language world by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information
Research and understand other cultures and their geopolitical context
Apply new techniques to address analytic problems and synthesize large data sets
Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends
Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for NSA SIGINT
Work independently and with partners across NSA and the IC in research, analysis, and reporting

Skills

ILR Level 2/2 proficiency

Bachelor's degree

High school diploma or GED + 4 years of relevant experience

Associate's degree + 2 years of relevant experience
