Job summary

NSA’s Linguists, referred to as MDLAs, analyze foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions. You may enter the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or be hired directly into analytic posts, with tours across offices and intensive training.

Applicants should demonstrate ILR level 2/2 proficiency, possess relevant experience in language work or related fields, and show leadership capability at higher levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in professional language work or related fields.
• Entry/Developmental to Senior levels specify required experience, including leadership where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, transcribe, and translate foreign language materials to support SIGINT missions.
• Engage with partners, enablers, and customers across the Intelligence Community.
• Participate in Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic roles.
• Demonstrate ability to synthesize information and provide written and oral assessments.
