Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Language Services Manager to lead the Wisconsin North region's interpreter program. The role oversees a staff of medical interpreters, ensures compliant translation and interpretation services, and partners with hospital leadership to support LEP patients and families.

Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration or Nursing, 5 years in medical interpretation with at least 1 year of supervision, and strong bilingual medical

Qualificações

• Possesses bilingual medical terminology including anatomy and physiology, diagnostics, treatment and health education models.
• Knowledge of ethics in medical interpreting per NCIHC guidelines.
• Ability to handle challenging situations while overseeing interpreters delivering difficult messages.

Responsabilidades

• Provides leadership for system-wide translation and interpretation programs.
• Leads strategic planning for language services across the system.
• Ensures quality monitoring and improvement for translation/interpretation services.
• Builds strong relationships with management, staff and medical teams to serve LEP and deaf/hard of hearing patients.
• Drives activities to promote Translation and Interpretation Services within the health system.
• Develops capital and operating budgets with the director and monitors variances.
