Job summary

citizenship, a valid driver’s license, and strong organizational and communication skills to report tasks, schedule work, operate equipment safely, and maintain grounds to COLS standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and general lawn care.
• Control undesired vegetation and remove debris.
• Maintain shrubs, hedges, and plant beds.
• Provide tree maintenance, including pruning, staking, and removal.
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems.
• Report irrigation issues within 24 hours of discovery and repair as needed.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance around ammunition bunkers and sensitive areas.
• Avoid using gas-powered equipment in environmentally sensitive areas.
• Obtain necessary certifications and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain grounds to COLS standards.
• Submit soil analysis test results and proposed fertilizer types for approval.
• Replace or restore damaged lawns, plants, or property.
• Identify and report non-recurring work to the project manager.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

ALMS are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to manage and maintain the grounds of our installation. Landscaping role includes lawn maintenance, vegetation removal and debris removal. The role requires maintaining aesthetically pleasing grounds across improved, semi-improved, and unimproved areas while adhering to safety and environmental regulations.

Grounds Maintenance

• Perform mowing, trimming, edging, and general lawn care to maintain uniform grass height and a neat appearance.
• Control undesired vegetation and remove debris to ensure a clean and tidy environment.
• Maintain shrubs, hedges, and plant beds to promote plant health and prevent interference with pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
• Provide tree maintenance, including pruning, staking, and removal of dead or damaged wood.
• Irrigation System Maintenance:
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water application for lawns and other vegetation.
• Report any inoperable irrigation system components within 24 hours of discovery and repair as needed.
• Safety and Environmental Compliance:
• Ensure all equipment used is approved for use around ammunition bunkers and sensitive areas.
• Avoid using gas-powered equipment in environmentally sensitive areas.
• Obtain necessary certifications and follow safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance:
• Maintain improved, semi-improved, and unimproved grounds to ensure they meet the specified Common Output Level Standards (COLS).
• Submit soil analysis test results and proposed fertilizer types for approval before application.
• Replace or restore any lawns, plants, or property damaged during operations.
• Reporting and Scheduling:
• Identify and recommend non-recurring work as needed to comply with COL3 basic requirements and report to project manager.
