Job summary

Westfield Insurance is seeking a Landscaping Technician to maintain grounds and courses under direct supervision. Qualifications

• 0-2 years of landscaping experience or related field.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Completes maintenance and care of grounds using mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, trimmers, blowers, sweepers and snow removal equipment.
• Performs mowing, leaf collection, planting flowers, pond maintenance and irrigation monitoring.
• Responds to customer requests professionally and follows safety procedures.
• Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment and responds to repairs.
• Coordinates with vendors/contractors for equipment repairs.
• Performs daily course setup tasks such as changing cups and tee service.
• Participates in snow removal operations and uses necessary equipment.
• Maintains high standards of quality and service for employees and guests.
• Follows OSHA and company safety/training standards.

The Landscaping Technician, working under direct supervision, is responsible to complete assigned maintenance and care of grounds and courses by operating a range of equipment and tools, including but not limited to mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, string-line trimmers, blowers, sweepers, and specialized grounds equipment. The role also performs general landscaping duties including mowing, collecting leaves, planting flowers, pond maintenance and irrigation system monitoring. The role performs snow removal tasks in the winter months. Responds timely and professionally to customer requests and complies with all safety practices and procedures. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday with on-call weekend rotation. The role is generally first shift; however hours can vary based on weather.

Job Responsibilities

• Completes assigned maintenance and care of grounds and courses by operating a range of equipment and tools, including but not limited to mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, string-line trimmers, blowers, sweepers, snow removal equipment and specialized grounds equipment.
• Performs general landscaping duties including mowing, collecting leaves, planting flowers and pond maintenance and irrigation system monitoring.
• Responds timely and professionally to customer requests and complies with all safety practices and procedures.
• Conducts preventive/predictive maintenance processes on equipment and responds to emergency maintenance calls to expedite repairs.
• Works with vendors and external contractors to evaluate and schedule equipment repairs.
• (Golf Course Employees) Performs daily course setup tasks such as changing cups and tee service, as directed.
• Participates in snow removal operations and operates necessary equipment for snow and ice removal.
• Maintains the Company's high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service for employees, guests, and customers.
• Adheres to all OSHA and Company safety/training/certification standards within the specified timeframes.

Job Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in landscaping and commercial contract maintenance industry, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and/or commensurate experience.

Licenses and Certifications

• Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA-10) Certification (Required within 30 days of employment)
