Job summary

Concept Companies is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain outdoor landscapes, including lawns, gardens, and walkways, year-round. The role requires operating lawn equipment, performing planting and pruning, and ensuring safe, clean grounds for events and daily use.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license, and experience with hand and power tools, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate with coworkers and management effectively.
• Time management and initiative to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mow, trim, and edge lawns using power and hand tools.
• Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees; perform planting, pruning, watering, and fertilization.
• Clear leaves, debris, and litter from grounds, walkways, and parking areas.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, leaf blowers, and sprinklers.
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers per safety standards.
• Perform minor maintenance on irrigation systems and report major issues.
• Assist with seasonal tasks such as winterizing grounds and preparing areas for planting.
• Monitor grounds for pest infestation, disease, or hazards and take appropriate actions.
• Perform minor repairs and report any damage or unsafe conditions on the property.
• Support setup and cleanup for outdoor events as needed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS/EXPERTISE

• Experience with computers, email, Microsoft Office/Google environment necessary
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

This position primarily operates outdoors in various weather conditions which may include exposure to elements, loud noises, vibrations respiratory hazards such as dust, gases, chemicals, and equipment hazards. Requires the ability to move objects and use limbs for a significant portion of the workday including physical work that involves frequent lifting and carrying objects up to 50 pounds and push, drag or pull objects up to 100 pounds. operating power tools, equipment, and some office equipment. This position will involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. The individual in this position must also be capable of maintaining regular attendance, following instructions, understanding workplace materials, and communicating with others.
