Job summary

BrightView Landscapes in Hayward, CA is seeking a Landscaper II to provide landscape maintenance support across a variety of properties. This role performs basic tasks without supervision and helps operate commercial landscaping equipment while maintaining plant material and other landscaping elements.

Requirements include being 18 or older, dependable, and certified on Level 2 equipment; ability to lift up to 40 lbs; and a valid driver's license for fleet vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Dependable and enthusiastic.
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (power saws, cutters).
• Certified on level 2 equipment (extend hedge, trimmer, extend pole pruners, push/ride-on blower, riding mower, stand on mower, walk behind rototiller).

Responsibilities

• Execute work according to site-specific details and client requests.
• Cut turf with power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered tools, operate a gas blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds; prepare soil and install seasonal color.
• Operate edger and line trimmer along sidewalks and beds; weed control.
• Assist Crew Leader with inspections and quality concerns; maintain vehicles and trailers.
