Job summary

Heritage Landscape Supply Group is seeking a full-time Counter Sales/Customer role at the Stone Center location in Indianapolis, IN. The position emphasizes accurate order entry, efficient transactions, and strong customer interactions to support timely deliveries.

You will engage with customers by phone, email, and in person, process orders, and assist with inventory and logistics coordination alongside warehouse and sales teams. Overtime may be required during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a customer service or sales role is preferred; experience in managing customer relationships with a focus on customer satisfaction, retention, and loyalty, ensuring a personalized and positive purchasing experience.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations and internet navigation.
• Experience or familiarity with point-of-sale systems and order entry procedures.
• Ability to work in varied conditions, including outdoor environments.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed during the peak season.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment background/drug test.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a PLUS.
• Previous experience with irrigation or landscaping products.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with clients through phone, email, and in-person consultations, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
• Accurately process and manage customer transactions at the sales counter using the company’s computer system to ensure efficient and precise order fulfillment.
• Contribute to inventory management by participating in cycle counts.
• Collaborate with management and team members to communicate customer needs and special order material requests, enhancing product offerings and service delivery.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse and sales team members to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Responsibilities include a mix of sales counter duties and various other tasks, supported by modern sales systems and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.
