Job summary

Senske Services is seeking a Service Manager to develop plans and budgets for the Applications group (lawn, tree, weed), manage procurement, labor, equipment and materials, and ensure safe, high-quality work. The role emphasizes hiring, training, staffing, licensing, and continuous process improvement.

The position involves supervising multiple functions, with a focus on budget adherence, staff development, and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred in horticulture, business or related field.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in landscaping.
• Strong communication skills; detail-oriented; able to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to read work orders, safety rules, and manuals; train and ensure compliance.
• Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• Must obtain Applicator's license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train and staff the department to meet projected workload.
• Plan, supervise and monitor applications processes and budgets.
• Ensure staff licensing and ongoing training; conduct site inspections.
• Develop yearly department budget and monitor wages and revenue; budget growth.
• Respond to customer complaints; maintain assets and housekeeping.
• Oversee payroll and timely field reporting.
