Landscape Production Manager

About the Opportunity

A growing and established design-build landscaping company is seeking an experienced Landscape Production Manager to lead construction, installation, maintenance, and seasonal operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing field teams, managing project execution, coordinating resources, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong project management skills, landscape industry knowledge, and experience managing crews, budgets, and schedules. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in a company focused on quality craftsmanship, customer service, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage production staff, including crew leaders and field personnel
• Coordinate labor, equipment, and project schedules to ensure timely and profitable project completion
• Partner with design teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to execute projects according to plan
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and quality standards
• Drive high levels of client satisfaction through successful project delivery
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate team members
• Provide leadership, employee development, and conflict resolution support
• Assist with technical problem-solving and field operations as needed
• Prepare operational reports and performance analyses
• Support project estimating, job costing, contract review, and pricing strategies
• Manage seasonal snow removal operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and oversight
• Maintain and improve company safety programs and compliance initiatives
• Oversee material purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relationships
• Collaborate with equipment and fleet personnel to ensure readiness and regulatory compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and other operational projects

Qualifications

• 5+ years of landscape construction, maintenance, or related industry experience
• Previous supervisory or management experience leading field teams
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods, materials, equipment, and industry best practices
• Experience with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
• Strong leadership, communication, and employee development skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Proficiency with computer applications and project management tools
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when necessary
• Must be able to obtain a Class A Driver's License within 30 days of hire
