Position Title: Landscape Maintenance and Operations Manager

Custom Lawn Care and Landscape is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance and Operations Manager to oversee crews, scheduling, quality control, and day‑to‑day field operations across a growing portfolio of commercial and high‑end residential properties. This is a hands‑on leadership position that combines field supervision with operational planning, client communication, material coordination, and process improvement.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000 / Year, DOE
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple landscape crews and job sites, ensuring teams have the materials, equipment, and direction needed to succeed each day
- Manage scheduling, workforce planning, and project coordination across approximately 100 maintenance accounts
- Plan ahead for upcoming projects by reviewing plans and estimates, coordinating material orders and confirming vendor deliveries
- Monitor job progress, labor efficiency, timekeeping, change orders and additional work using LMN
- Maintain strong quality control across landscaping, irrigation, planting, hardscape and property maintenance work
- Communicate with clients, general contractors, foremen, vendors, and internal teams regarding schedules, project needs, warranty issues, and job progress
- Troubleshoot field issues involving irrigation, equipment, materials, and project execution
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement better processes for scheduling, purchasing, inventory, and crew productivity
- Support employee development through training, coaching, safety practices, and performance improvement
- Assist with estimates, additional work opportunities, and client account management as needed
Requirements
- 4+ years of landscape maintenance operations experience
- 4+ years of operations management experience with responsibility for crews of 12+ employees
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance, irrigation, hardscape, and plant installation
- Hands‑on irrigation troubleshooting experience with the ability to diagnose issues and guide technicians through repairs
- Strong understanding of landscape equipment with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and repair issues
- Proven ability to manage multiple crews, schedules, projects, and priorities simultaneously
- Confident, professional client communication and account management skills
- Strong leadership, accountability, and problem‑solving skills with a willingness to work alongside the team when needed
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurance requirements
- Ability to successfully complete required pre‑employment screening
