Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper to support landscape maintenance for various properties. You will perform basic landscaping tasks, operate commercial landscaping equipment, and assist with plant material care under supervision.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to work outdoors in heat, and adherence to safety guidelines. Equal opportunity employer; training provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enthusiastic and dependable.
• Ability to safely operate equipment like gas-powered edgers, trimmers, blowers and power saws.
• Certified on level 1 equipment: backpack blower, edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower.
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices.

Responsibilities

• Cut turf with power mowers, trim and edge with gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operate gas-powered blower.
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or growth habit; remove damaged branches.
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds.
• Operate edger/line trimmer along sidewalks, beds, trees, buildings, fences.
• Pick up trash and blow leaves/debris onto turf before mowing.
• Mulch leaves and organic matter after mowing.
• Weed by hand or with hoe.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscape.
• Maintain a polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers.
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader.
