Job summary

BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper to provide maintenance for a variety of properties. The role involves basic landscaping tasks under supervision, supporting safe operation of commercial equipment, and assisting with plant material maintenance.

Responsibilities include mowing, edging, pruning, planting, litter cleanup, weed control, and equipment upkeep in outdoor environments under varying conditions.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Enthusiastic and dependable
• Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment
• Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower)
• Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices

Responsibilities

• Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming and edging with gas-powered tools
• Prune shrubs and low trees to improve shape or remove damaged branches
• Plant and maintain flowerbeds
• Operate edger and trimmer along sidewalks, beds and structures
• Pick up trash and blow leaves and debris onto turf before mowing
• Mulch leaves and organic matter while mowing
• Weed by hand or with garden hoe
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment
• Remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscapes
• Maintain polite, friendly demeanor with guests and customers
• Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader
